چکیده

The realization of the first wall (FW), which is composed a protective tungsten (W) armor covering structural steel material, critical challenge in development future fusion reactors. Due to different coefficients thermal expansion (CTE) W and steel, direct joining them results cyclic stress at their bonding seam during operation reactor. To address this issue, study benchmarks two concepts. concept uses an atmospheric plasma sprayed graded interlayer W/steel composites with varying content gradually change CTE. second spark sintered interlayer. Furthermore, order benchmark these concepts, directly bonded W-steel reference joint as well featuring vanadium were also tested. These joints tested under steady-state high heat flux loading, starting from 1 MW/m2 up 4.5 MW/m2, stepwise increments 0.5 MW/m2. At each level, 200 cycles performed. survived only until 1.5 while V 3

Estimating the unknown heat flux on the wall of a heat exchanger internal tube using inverse method

In the design of heat exchangers, it is necessary to determine the heat transfer rate between hot and cold fluids in order to calculate the overall heat transfer coefficient and the heat exchanger efficiency. Heat transfer rate can be determined by inverse methods. In this study, the unknown space-time dependent heat flux imposed on the wall of a heat exchanger internal tube is estimated by app...

Optimizing naturally driven air flow in a vertical pipe by changing the intensity and location of the wall heat flux

Heat transfer from the internal surfaces of a vertical pipe to the adjacent air gives rise to the air flow establishment within the pipe. With the aim of optimizing the convective air flow rate in a vertical pipe, the details of the flow and thermal fields were investigated in the present study. Conservation equations of mass, momentum, and energy were solved numerically using simple implicit f...

Investigation of Entropy Generation in Stagnation Point Flow of Nano Fluid Impinging on the Cylinder with Constant Wall Heat Flux

: In this research, dimensionless temperature and entropy generation for the steady state flow in the stagnation point of incompressible nanofluid impinging on an infinite cylinder have been investigated. The impinging free stream is steady with a constant strain rate  k. Similarity solution of the Navier-Stokes equations and energy equation is derived in this problem. A reduction of these equa...
